Holli Charmonte

I woke up this morning confused, the feeling still hasn't gone away.

I stare at my new schedule... everything is so different here. From the looks of thing I have English first, good, that's familiar, then math, English is on the first floor, room 7, I have to check my map. How does anyone keep track of everything!

I'm glad, at least, to have someone I know here, even if it is Mr. "I-love-everybody-and-guess-what-your-preference-is" F.J. Compton. He's nice enough however, and I enjoy being around him. That black haired kid too, he looked really familiar, I couldn't tell though, not from across the dining hall.

I finally make it to the English room, and step inside to see a portly gentleman handing out reading lists. I walk up to him.

"Hello, I'm Holli Char--"

"Miss Charmonte, lovely to have you in my class, here is your reading list, please get these books from the library as we need them in class, your seat is in the second row third from the left." He interrupted. Partially blown away by his small speech I went to my seat, smoothing down my sweater and skirt, I began to peruse my reading list:

Pride and Prejudice, Frankenstein, Jane Eyre, Picture of Dorian Gray, Of Mice and Men, Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer.

. I sat back in my seat, comfortable, and watched my classmates file in. It seemed to take forever for them all to take their seats. Finally all were seated and the teacher began talking...

Class ended, finally and i sped out of the classroom, already pulling out my map to find my next class. I wasn't paying much attention and bumped right into Jack Simmons. I glanced up at his face, then immediately looked at my shoes. He hadn't changed at all since the last time I'd seen him, four years ago. Of course he was taller, but the hair was the same, messy falling into his eyes, he was still really skinny, though he seemed to have filled out more around the shoulders. I couldn't look to closely though, I rushed off again, hoping he didn't notice me.

I found my way to my next class and the cycle started again.
