You sigh reluctantly and let him help you. It's really the only thing you can do.
He takes your right arm and manages to help you stand. The pain is excruciating, and you feel as though you just broke part of your broken bone again.
"There now, that wasn't so hard, was it?" he says, awkwardly lighthearted.
You glare at him, wondering how he could possibly find your struggles amusing.
"Right," he says with a grunt. "Can you kind of hop? Because I won't be able to carry you."
You try the hopping idea, just to test it.
