Luce, Liam and Kyle saw Nein off in the morning, wishing her luck on her first day. She strode out of the alley way and walked the few blocks to the company. When she reached the area she was to be working in, Aaron was sitting on her desk, reading a newspaper. He looked up as she walked in and put the paper down on the desk.
"Hey you. Looking forward to your first day?" Nein nodded, still unaware of how she should react when this god talked to her. "Look, you don't have to be scared of me you know. I'm a nice guy really."
"I know." She muttered, slipping behind the desk. "It's just, I'm not really used to people like you talking to me."
"What do you mean?"
"No one ever has." She said, trying to avoid the real answer. He seemed to want to ask more questions, but stopped, mouth open, and then closed it.
"Then they were very stupid people." He grinned, and stood. "I'd keep chatting to you but I have to get to my desk. I'm sat next to this really interesting person, and I really want to get to know them."
Nien felt her heart drop a little.
"Oh. Ok." Aaron grinned at her and slipped in to the seat of the desk next to her. "What are you doing?" Nien asked.
"Sitting at my desk, trying to get to know a really interesting person." He said, resting his chin on his fist and grinning at her.
Nien felt the corners of her mouth tug at the corner and fought to keep the smile from breaking on her face. She gave up at a look from him though.
"You're smooth, I'll give you that." She said.
"And you have a lovely smile." He flirted.
Nien felt a blush coming, so turned to rummage in her bag. She pulled out her laptop and set it up on the desk, before turning back to face him, blush gone.
"So am I going to be able to concentrate today, or are you going to be distracting me?"
"That depends what you want to concentrate on." He winked before putting a serious face on. "Don't worry, I wouldn't try to distract you from your work on your first few days. I wouldn't want you getting fired."
"Well that's a relief." Nien said, checking her work schedule.
"Of course, that does make us un-even."
"How so?" She asked, trying to pay as little attention as possible to the dazzling white teeth and gorgeous eyes that were still staring at her.
"Because I'm going to be distracted by you all day." He whispered as Mr Carter walked in to the office and spotted Nien. He marched over as Nien tried to rid herself of the blush on her cheeks, and Aaron turned to his laptop, and began to work.
