Just Another DayMature

I stood in the doorway, vaguely aware that my characters had resumed their fight once more. All except Cassandra, Fang and Bryon. Bryon was looking a bit lost, Fang was sharpening her claws on the sofa, and Cassandra was still sobbing in the corner.

Both of the Seres were still fighting, throwing punches and giving each other bloody noses. I smiled weakly at the doctor who was seated behind her desk.

"Do you have room for six more? Or should we continue waiting. Frankly, I don't think you're waiting room is going to survive much longer,"

Fang padded over to me and sat behind me, studying the occupants of the office with her huge cat-like eyes. Bryon was standing behind me. He flicked his blonde bangs out of his eyes and called out to me softly, "What's happening?"

"Hold on a second, Bryon," I told him, absently scratching between Fang's ears as I awaited the doctor's answer. She was still a little stunned at the sight of us. I didn't blame her. If six freaks showed up where I worked I'd be a little disturbed too.

The doctor held up one hand and splayed her fingers, "Five minutes?"

Fang walked into the office, ignoring the stares of everyone around her, and curled up in a ball on the floor. She began to purr, her tail curled around her body protectively.

I gestured to Fang, "Can she stay there? If she wants to be in here, its going to be impossible to move her,"

The doctor nodded numbly. I gave her a respectful nod and shut the door, turning to look at the blood stained scene unfolding before me. I sighed and sat down next to Bryon and Cassandra. Bryon was attempting to comfort Cassandra, who was still sobbing uncontrollably.

The End
