I watch as a girl and a very tall man sit across from us. The man gives me the creeps just being near him, and he's across the aisle.
I can feel both Sophie and Claudia tense up on either side of me. They can feel it too.
Trying to lighten the mood, I look the girl and hold out my hand.
"Hi, I'm Dallas. I'm here with two of my characters, Sophie and Claudia." I said, gesturing to each in return.
Sophie just glares at the girl, her blue-gray eyes steely, while Claudia gives the girl a small smile, tears in her green eyes.
The girl shakes my hand.
"I'm Amy." she says.
I smile. "Hi Amy. Are you also here for character therapy?"
Amy nods slightly, giving a strange look to the man sitting next to her. A strange chill goes through me.
I hear Claudia sniffle beside me.
"What's wrong, Claudia?" I ask her.
She looks at me, and I can tell she's trying not to cry. She sighs and says, "I just wish Lionel and Daniel were here. They need to work their problems with each other and more therapy than I do, anyways."
I shake my head. "I know, Claudia, but neither one of them are my characters."
She nods. I pat her shoulder and look down at her wheel chair. Why did I do that to her?
I shake my heard and turn back towards Amy.
"What's your character's name?" I ask her.
She nods at the man. "Victor." is her short reply.
I nod. We sit in silence a few minutes longer, Claudia sniffling and Sophie trying her best to look bored. Neither one wanted to be there.
Finally, a door opened.
