After she thoroughly confused and dragged me around, Aderyn finally just plopped me into a seat.
Where I belong.
Therefore, where I should stay.
She then whirled in a spin and grabbed a sad looking Xander and started an extremely more intricate and fancy tango.
The likes of which, I have only seen professionals do.
Anyways, after class, I made my way to my dorm where I threw things around before heading in the (general) direction of the dining hall. Dinner flew like Aderyn in the art room. Afterwards, the principal handed out report cards.
I felt tired when I got back to my dorm. Throwing my report card on the nightstand, I brushed, flossed, put on pajamas and crawled into bed. Bam, I was asleep.
I was running, happy, in a meadow........my mother's laughter in my ears. I began laughing too. All too soon, I tripped, and fell into a dark hole. The bottom of which was my bed. I landed and bounced a few times to a stop. Sitting up, I saw the report card on the nightstand start floating. The envelope opened itself and out came the card. PE was never my strength. There, in the middle of all those A's, was a big, fat F. A deep, raspy, creepy, voice that said, "DEFICIENT"
I woke up screaming. Looking over, my report card lay, unopened, on my stand. Breathing a sigh of relief, I picked it up, and opened it. "It was all a dream, it was all a dream......" I muttered. Then, deja vu. There, in the middle of all those A's, was a big, fat F. In the back of my head, I heard an echo.
A banging on my door jerked me to my senses. Looking at the clock, I realized it was 3:00 in the morning. Jumping out of bed, I stumbled to the door. Opening it, I remembered then that Xander and Aderyn's dorm was right next door...........
There stood Aderyn. Her long hair lay in shimmering snarls down her back, poking out at odd angles. Her shirt was too big, the sleeves going to her elbows, and read "SSA" on the front. The pants she wore had cute little owls all down them and looked to be very soft. The pant legs went clear down, probably past her feet, but covered most of them except for her toes. Her face was pure venom.
Dang, she's cute.
"WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING SCREAMING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? THIS HAS COST ME A WHOLE HOUR'S SLEEP!!!!! XANDER WOKE UP SCREAMING "IT'S A GHOST IT'S A GHOST!" HE RAN INTO MY ROOM AND YOU KNOW WHAT?!?!?!?!?! HE. WET. THE. BED. I HAD TO PUNCH HIM IN THE GUT, KNOCK HIM OUT, CHANGE THE SHEETS THEN THROW HIM IN BED!!!!! IF I HEAR ONE MORE PEEP OUTTA YOU, you're next." Her last sentence went down in volume and went up in sinister........
She stormed off.
Basically all I had heard was "blah blah blah blah blah blah knock him out, change the sheets, throw him in bed blah blah blah blah you're next."
I closed the door.
I didn't get a single minute more of sleep that night. Man was I tired the next morning. The art room was brightly lit today. I wasn't really aware of what Aderyn was doing, I just know that her hair was in a braided crown around her head. Three times.
Sitting there the next morning, in an extremely comfy chair, my eyes were closing. As I was dozing off, I felt myself start slouching.
Something wet and sticky smacked across my face.
"What the-?" I sputtered.
"Don't. Move." Aderyn pointed at me with a big fat painter's brush covered in purple paint. Reaching up, I touched my cheek. On my finger, was a circle of purple paint. I went back to the position I had been in. Unfortunately, it was only then that I noticed that Aderyn had her painting easel away from my viewing and that she was studying me very carefully.
By the time class ended, the paint had dried onto my face. Nothing could get it off.
Xander sure was going to get a kick out of this.
