I'm going to be posting excerpts from reviews of books that I write for a blog I have, the link to which is on my profile page. If you have any suggestions or would like me to review anything you have written story of poem, just let me know.
This is the first book that I have read by author David Mitchell, who is unfortunately not the comedian, and I like his style. I commend him profusely for his ability to write in convincingly in six different styles, one for each of the narratives that make up this book. The book stretches from the 1800 hundred journal of a seaward bound journey of an American lawyer to the far flung ravaged earth of a story telling tribesman thousands of years later. The interim is filled with letters of a gutsy composer in the 30’s, an equally determined journalist in the 70’s, a down on his luck editor of the present day, and clone swept up in a revolution of the future. And that’s just an overview.
