Cara: Alone for the NightMature

"Right then, I'll see you at rehearsal tomorrow won't I?" I said to Ali as we hugged goodbye.

"Yeah, I'll be there."

I turned to Megan and Anna.

"So I'll see you two round? You're walking home together right?"

"Yeah. See you soon." Megan gave me a hug and so did Anna. They linked arms and set off with Ali.

"I can't wait to get home." Sam said, taking my hand.

"Oh yeah? Tired?" I grinned.

"Not particularly." She winked.

"Oh I see. Just your sex toy am I?"

"Not at all. You're also my cook, my cleaner and my eye candy." She teased, pulling me in to her and stroking my cheek with her thumb.

"Funny." I frowned.

"Hey, sorry, I didn't mean it." She looked worried.

"Sam...?" I started.

"Yes?" She said, her mouth drooping.

"Gotcha!" I giggled and threw my arms around her waist, pulling her closer.

"Damn it Cara you gave me a heart attack." She cried relieved.

"I knew you were joking. I just like to keep you on your toes."

"You're going to be the death of me." She muttered, closing in for a kiss.

"If you don't finish me off first."

"Oh I like to help you finish."

"You're obsessed with sex."

"So are you."

"Only with you."

"Thank god."

We finally kissed and I was happy. Sure I'd had fun spending time with the girls but it was nice to finally have Sam all to myself.

"I love you." I whispered against her lips.

"I love you too. Now, home. You're looking gorgeous and I just want to hold you."

"No sex?"

"Not unless you want it. Lets just be together tonight."

"Is this because I got you about sex and eye candy...?"

"No. But we do spend a lot of time just having sex," She said as we started walking to the car, "And I think maybe we need to let up. When I'm an old lady I might not be able to do that and I'd hate for you to be frustrated at the sudden change."

"You see us together as little old ladies?"

"Don't you?" She asked, frowning slightly.

"I hadn't really thought that far ahead. But yeah, I can imagine it. Will you still bring me tea?"

"Of course. Will you still laugh at my really bad jokes?"

"Always and forever."

"Then I think we can cope." She grinned and swung our arms happily.

We drove home and slipped out of our clothes, lying in bed and staring at each other. I wanted to memorise her face, every little curve, every mark, every part of her eyes.

"What are you doing?" She asked after a while.

"Like what you see?"

"Nope." Her brow furrowed and I giggled adding that to my memory. "I love what I see."

Her face relaxed and she kissed my nose softly.

"There are so many things about you I love."

"Tell me." I smiled.

"Too embarrassing."

"I'll tell you one for every one you tell me?" I suggested.

"Ok..." She said tentatively. "I love your eyes."

"I love your eyes too."

"You can't just say the same things."

"But I do." I pouted.

"Ok ok. I love your smile."

"Damn it I love that too."

"Fine. I love the way you sing in the shower every morning."

"I love that you wake me up with kisses and tea."

"I love that you never complain that I work late sometimes."

"I love that you're so passionate about your work."

"I love that every time I wake up, you're wrapped around me somehow."

"I love that you don't try to hide who you are to anyone."

"I love that you love me with all my faults." She said sadly and I stroked her hair from her face.

"Don't be silly. I love your faults as much as I love your... what's the word?"

"My... oh god, I can't remember. Pros? No, that's opposite of cons..."

"Attributes!" I yelled and she winced.

"Yikes, I'm going to go deaf with you."

"You've never complained about how loud I am before." I grinned.

"That's because when you're loud it's generally because I'm making it happen."

"And you're very good at it."

"Why thank you. Speaking of things we're good at, I want to come see you rehearsing tomorrow. What time are you doing it?"

"Twelve till three I think. Might go on longer if they get beers in. You know what it's like, one minute we're working next we're having a chill session and ordering pizza."

"Well I can bring pizza as soon as I get out if you want to stay there a bit longer."

"What did I do to deserve such an angel?" I grinned, kissing her.

"Must have been a good kid."

"Oh no, apparently I was a diva."

"Not much has changed then."

"Hey!" I cried, swiping at her arm gently.

"Oh it's going to be like that is it?" She laughed and sat up, grabbing her pillow and smacking me over the head with it.

"Oh my god!" I giggled and smacked her back with mine.

A pillow fight followed until we were thoroughly exhausted and lay back laughing, our hair completely messed up.

"We look like we've just had sex." I choked out through the laughing.

"If I look like this every time we've had sex I'm surprised you've stuck by me." She burst, catching a glimpse of herself in the mirror. I laughed uncontrollably again wiping her hair from her face.

"Maybe I just like what comes before the messy hair."

"Just that?" She frowned.

"No... not what I meant." I stopped laughing.

"Got you back!" She giggled, poking me and sticking her tongue out. I gave her another smack with the pillow just to teach her a lesson.

"I have to go gorgeous." She whispered in my ear as I appeared out of unconsciousness. "The tea is on the side." She kissed my cheek and I heard her leave before I sat up and rubbed my eyes. The tea was indeed on the side and I sipped it thirstily.

Then I was struck by an unmistakable urge to pee and ran to the bathroom.
