"You know it's the first sign of madness, talking to yourself." I said and watched Anna jump at the sound of my voice. I had emerged from my room and found her muttering on the sofa. The only things I had heard was my name, and Matt's. It seemed obvious that she was thinking about the arguement.
"So, what were you talking to yourself about?"
"Oh nothing." her cheeks tinged with red, and I realised she was blushing. "Look Cara..." She said, grasping my hands, but I stopped her.
"Before you start apologising for snapping at me, don't. It was my fault for taking his side, I'm sorry Anna."
I was pulled in to a crushing hug, and grinned as I hugged her back. After a few minutes, I let go and she followed.
"So, do you want to watch a film, or go out tonight?"
"We can go out if you want."
"I'd like that. Don't forget to get dressed up!"
"I don't know what to wear."
"Let's raid your wardrobe then." I said, pulling her to her room.
As we explored her vast wardrobe, I began to wonder what Tamara's problem with me was. Why she had acted so horribly.
"Are you alright?" Anna asked.
"Yeah, I'm just thinking."
I hesitated, and then decided it was ok to tell her this.
"My dance teacher, Amy, her friend came to join the class today, and she was really horrible to me."
"That's not good, why would she be horrible?"
"I don't know..." Although I had a pretty good idea. To me it seemed like Tamara fancied Amy, and didn't like that someone had beaten her to it.
"Well, let's hope she's not there again tomorrow then." Anna smiled and puled out a dress. "This one?"
"Definitely. That's my favourite."
"Well then I'll definitely wear it." Anna smiled and turned to undress. I suddenly felt self conscious, aware that Anna didn't know I liked women, and would probably not change in front of me if she did. I couldn't tell her now though, it would seem like too much of a coincidence.
"I'm going to go and change." I said, before she had a chance to slip anything off. I left the room, went to mine, and pulled out some skinny jeans, a nice top, a black waistcoat and my black high heels. With my starry necklace, this would make a perfect outfit. As I began changing, there was a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" I called, pulling up my jeans and fastening them.
"Anna, I'm coming in."
I couldn't say no, so she came in, and sat on my bed.
"Nice outfit." She mentioned as she looked at the clothes on my bed. She was wearing the blue dress I had suggested, and black heels.
"Thanks." I hesitated, then pulled off my top. I picked up the new one as quickly as I could without looking suspicious, and changed, not looking at Anna in the process. Then I slipped on the waistcoat, buttoned the middle button, and put the star necklace on. "There, what do you think?" I twirled.
