Bank Heist - A Practice in 2nd Person POV

Recommend

You’re nervous.  You’re so nervous you could cry.  But you promised yourself (and the entire team) that you would go through with this.  You have to go through with this.  You look to your left at one of your partners.  The two of you are best friends, in fact, the entire team is your family; you would die for them, and tonight that might end up happening.  Jeanine is at the wheel barking instructions as you all gear up.  “Try to stay out of the camera’s sights, but don’t make that your first thought,” she smirks, “you have masks for a reason.”

“When will we know the safe is open?” You can hear the hesitation in your voice, but you’re a professional, so it’s completely masked.

“We got Rob on the computer.  We’ll have it blown open two minutes after you burst through those doors.”

“Two minutes is too long…” You turn to the right and can vaguely see your girlfriend’s disapproving frown.  She thinks something’s going to go wrong today.  She might be right.  You all might go in a police shootout.  You know that’s a highly probable scenario this time.

“It’ll be fine.  Now get OUT.”  Your ski mask is hard to breathe in but you pull your George W. Bush mask over it anyway.  Jumping to the ground out of the van you begin marching to the front doors of the bank.  You glance behind to see three others dressed similarly walking with the same fearless purpose as yourself.  You keep walking as you hear your driver’s voice.  “You gotta be slick.  Take out the tellers first.  Shoot first, worry later.  I’ll be four blocks away and I’ll be back in five.”  You know she doesn’t see your affirmative nod as she speeds away.  The four of you, nameless and faceless quietly step through the front doors.  The countdown starts in your head as you calmly take out the numerous security guards.  You raise your M-16 above your head.

“I want everyone on the ground.”
