16. Brotherly Advice

Noah Anderson

She didn't look amused. She squeezed past and sat down in the seat I'd just been sitting in, and then pulled down the screen to cover the window. Great, so I couldn't even look out over her shoulder.

Wait, what am I saying? Why would I want to stare out the window when this...Goddess, had just sat next to me? Somehow I didn't think my normal tactics would work. She looked a lot more mature than I did. But I wasn't called a lady's man for nothing.

Okay, so I wasn't called a lady's man. But I could crack this.

"Noah." I smiled. She glanced at me for a second.

"Phoebe." She replied. "Your parent's biblical or something?"

Parents. Touchy subject. I hadn't spoken about them since they....

"Sorry, have I hit a nerve?" She asked after a few seconds, her face suddenly softening. Great, not only clumsy but emotionally soft. Get yourself together Noah boy.

"It doesn't matter." I said, forcing a smile. "I don't know. My granddad was called Noah, so I think I was named after him."

"I see." She muttered, looking away.

The plane began to move, and I grinned.

"I love take off." I said, excitedly. She laughed. She actually laughed.

"You must be the only person who does!" She told me.

Once the plane had settled, Phoebe got up to go toilet. I stood up and everything, to let her past. This girl was beautiful, she needed a gentlemen.

Once she was gone, I strolled down to Chris. He looked like he was getting too comfy for my liking, and there was no way he was going to be ahead of me. By the time I got to him he was actually going in for a kiss. A kiss!

"Hey bro." I called, stopping next to him. He jumped and spun around. Wow, he looked angry. I grinned at him

"What do you want Noah?" he hissed, sitting up.

"I want to talk to you for a while. Let's head to the lounge."

I took hold of his arm and dragged him out of his seat, leading him to another room. It looked totally class.

"Noah! Why'd you bring me here?" Chris snapped at me

"I just wanted to tell you that I'm not going to sit next to you."

I could have laughed at the look on his face.

"And you had to bring me here to tell me that?" He said through gritted teeth.

"Yeah, and..."

"And?"

I sighed. God, I didn't want to do this.

"And well, there's this totally hot girl sat with me and-"

He laughed cutting me off. "And your coming to your big brother for advice. Aw, how sweet." He pulled me closer and ruffled my hair.

"Gerroff! I just need some tips is all." I muttered. "I don't think she'll take to the joker Noah."

"Sorry, man. Your on your own. I've got my own lady to concentrate on." He said, walking backwards, grinning.

"Come on, Chris. Anything?"

He tilted his head, thinking.

"Don't act dumb. Be sophisticated. Mature women, love clever men." And with that he left the room.

I could be clever. I think.

The End
