Alex, I had to admit, was quite gorgeous. Strands of her long black hair, kept falling in front of her fair face. She was also dressed well in a beautiful black silk skirt with small diamond-like patterns that sparkled in the dark.
She caught me staring at her and the trace of a smile lit her lips.
I grinned at her. "Just checking you out."
She raised an eyebrow in an amused manner and asked, "What do you mean by that?"
"Do you really want to know?" I whispered, a bit seductively as I leaned in toward her a bit.
She looked taken a back for a split second and then composed her face of a blank expression but I could see she was trying to hold back laughter. Huh, was I really that much of a joker?
"Thanks but no thanks. Apparently, I'm not interested in whatever Romeo's got to tell me."
I chuckled. Her voice was sweet and it sounded even sweeter with her calling me Romeo.
"Ah well, love is patient and kind so Romeo will always wait for Juliet to accept his, let me call it, invitation." I winked at her.
Her cheeks flushed a little when she heard me say this but she covered it up with the act of 'hitting' me with her light book.
"Talk about flirt," she muttered as she settled back into her seat, putting her book back into her handbag. She knew that she wouldn't have time to read with me here.
"By flirt, of course you mean charming and gorgeous."
"You are so full of yourself," she muttered but I could see her grinning as she turned her head to look at the runway. The plane had started moving and soon we'd be skyhigh.
"I'll take that as a compliment Alex."
I rested against my seat and sighed happily. Nine hours, a pretty girl, and an annoying brother on the same flight. What else was going to happen that hadn't?
