Age of Miracles Reader-Response Criticism and Analisis

This is my Reader-Response for Age of Miracles.

The book is from the point of view of someone who is in school, an only child, and family that are Christians. All of these things I can relate to, and lets me understand and relate to Julia a bit more. This point of view also shows the events from an average eleven year old girl in school, which is good for younger readers, and older readers who have already been in school and can relate to that age. It also talks about how the conflict was presented to the average person, and other news that happened that day. The president also tells everyone to stay calm and continue like everything is normal.

The conflict of the earth slowing down is very creative, and presents many problems at once. The conflict is one that would probably impossible be stopped, and can only be adapted to.
