I rubbed my eyes blearily and looked at the clock, 1:30...AM. Man, I need to get to bed...as much as I didn't want to I knew that I needed to get up tomorrow. I was almost done with the first book, I had been writing crazily all week, even my parents had thought it was strange. I have been staying up till about this time every night writing, writing, and writing some more. Some days I remembered to work, other days I didn't I was consumed with this masterpiece.

I reluctantly shut my notebook and crawled to my bedroom. I looked at my pj's but decided, as had become usual, to skip them and just get straight to the sleeping part. I would finish my book tomorrow and send it to my publisher. There it would get published and go on, I was sure, to become my first best-seller.  With that happy thought in my head I fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up and groaned. I was all achy from sitting in the same position to write, my back hunched and my neck parallel to the notebook. I don't know for sure why I am using a notebook, I usually use a computer, it's much more convenient and comfortable...I guess it was the excitement to use the new pen. What a beautiful pen it was! It had cream colored dragons spiraling down toward the point, they were highlighted by the yellow background. Sometimes when I got a rare case of writer's block, I would just stare at it...I always managed to think of something, almost as if the ideas came from the pen itself!

After going for a short run outside to alleviate the cramps and keep in shape, I went back to my office and opened the book to start writing.

"The whole kingdom of Watolia was in need of a hero and you, Rudolf, have saved it from the unspeakably evil and vile. We all owe you a debt of gratitude...is there anything that you wish given to you?" the queen asked Rudolf as he stood before her in the glittering armor of the queen's guard.

"No your majesty, I ask only to serve, and to live a life in devotion to my country," Rudolf replied, standing proudly at attention.

The crowds of people surrounding him cheered wildly, not only was their handsome hero the one who had saved them, all he wanted was to continue serving! He was amazing!

"Is there nothing you want?" the queen pressed, "Nothing at all?"

"Nothing ma'am, I wish only serve you."

The queen nodded, BOOM! The crashing sound echoed throughout the entire palace and the glass shattered. What was happening? Sudden tremors shook the ground, causing almost everyone to fall to the ground. Then, it was there, in the room with them. Another evil, this one worse than the one Rudolf had decimated! It was the horrible, despicable, unspeakably vile...

What? What could it be? The cogs in my head suddenly stopped moving, I couldn't think of anything it could possibly be! I wracked my brain, suddenly desperate. Somehow, I felt my life would be in danger if I didn't keep on writing...but nothing came!

Without warning the pen in my hand began to grow, it got bigger, and bigger. The weird bit was that instead of forcing my hand to let go, it absorbed it! I started to scream, but it was too late, I was engulfed in a whirlpool of cream and yellow.

BOOM! The crashing sound echoed throughout the entire palace and the glass shattered. What was happening? Sudden tremors shook the ground, causing almost everyone to fall to the ground.

Where am I?? Watolia? How?
