Yes I know. It’s been a while and I’m not going to come up with any more of my feeble excuses. Your pages feel rough and unwelcoming as I write this, and the dust that I had to wipe off your cover is nothing short of embarrassing. Nevertheless, I’ll persist, just the way I go about it each time. At least give me credit for constantly coming back to you, no matter how infrequent I am. Has it not always been a worthwhile comeback at that!
Today I stumbled on this gem of a discovery and I just had to tell you all about it. Just hear me out and relax your starched up attitude, will you, as I pen the words. I found a chocolate shop hidden within the alleys of town. It was nothing short of amazing. This shop has attitude and evokes the strangest of sensations.
Here’s what happened. I was walking through town and my mind must have been wandering again. You know me, but nevermind what I was thinking about – that’s for another entry (see, I do plan ahead for you). I took a wrong turn without realising and found myself in unfamiliar territory. As I walked down the alley something kept drawing me further into the street and stopping me from turning back. Was it fate? Or was it just the strong smell of chocolate luring me in? A tiny basket greeted me at the entrance of the shop filled with nothing other than luscious pieces of chocolate. I was hooked from the first taste.
The rest is, of course, history and since I am known to only come to you with the most exciting snippets I will spare you the rest of the boring details. Here’s a sample smudge of what I bought from the shop today.
