Absolutely saturated in a honey liquid glow.
Bleaching the window panes with its shimmering rays.
Calling me to look into its core, despite the burn.
Skin bronzed happily under the light.
Beautiful afternoon sun, pouring into my drawing room,
Please never leave me alone.
You are the reason that my hair glistens so bright,
As though it was made of strands of gold;
The reason I roll over in bed,
And crack the blinds some to indulge in the comforting warmth;
The reason I daydream of walking hand in hand
by the glistening ocean’s shore.
I’ll let your light kiss me once more,
Before I close the blinds and work on capturing you as a whole.
