A Mountain Moves

 The heart inside me
is a brightly burning coal
It consumes me whole

My skin is earth’s crust
Magma courses through my veins
My passions erupt

A Light Dies

 Crumble to nothing
Vanish in a veil of smoke
Only dust remains

A Phoenix Rises

 Paper writhes like snakes
Twigs snap like crocodiles
Salamanders hiss

Ash flutters like moths
Embers flash like fireflies
Drifting will-o-wisps

 Flames spreading like wings
Crimson plumage burnt to black
A phoenix rises

The End
