Solipsism was underrated, Gavin thought. After all, here he was, a God, all things that existed a creation of himself, the entire universe - as it mattered to him - a creation of his own mind.
Other people, places, every sensation and thought and idea, all him, even the unpleasant ones. He had ultimate power, how could you possibly complain?
He had doubts sometimes; his thoughts would conjure up other people from beyond the universe, speaking into his mind from outside it, telling him he was merely a brain in a jar.
Nonsense of course, just a manifestation of his own doubts.
