The Man With Two Shadows (Xenie)

How can a man with a smiling face be found hanging from his neck by his own hands? It bewildered the neighbours and their neighbours alike. But only one with eyes sharper than a hawk, could have look upon the man and seen, truth that humans couldn't.

Light falls upon our frame casting the shadow of confidence, happiness, overpowering above all else. Eyes may only perceive that outward glimpse, but are blind to what may be the shadow that dwells within, of doubt, failure, and death. As this shadow breaks from its chains of bondage, as does the man break from his chains of sanity. And thus the shadows that so faithfully followed him, drives him to his skeleton form. And thus hangs the tale of the man with two shadows.
