Oh look, it's a profile page.  I'm notorious for hating these things, because I never really know what to say about myself.

So.  My name is Jai and I'm a chemist-in-training and I've been writing since I was six years old, in one form or another.  I'm a very character-driven writer and prefer the limited third person omniscient narrative style.  (I have a tendency to try and make myself and other people squirm a little when it comes to what I write.  Maybe I'm just being quintessentially Canadian and trying to emulate Findley and Atwood.  Who knows?) 

I can't turn off my inner editor and am rarely satisfied with my work.

Being here, therefore, is kind of scary for me, but I do love a good challenge and... and...
