Some things you never wanted to know about me, but hey I'll tell you anyway:
- I have been performing the role of grim reaper to all houseplants since birth.
- I live in an vast abandoned mine under the Atlantic Ocean, entertained daily by small clay amphibians who are my only friends.
- I like to watch slugs at night.
- I have to stay hidden because I'm extremely frightening to look at, although I secretly have a heart of gold.
- I enjoy fine wines and delectable banquets every night.
- I suffer from chronic insomnia brought on by indigestion.
- I am frequently hung-over.
- I can't roll my tongue and am colorblind
- I am extremely truthful.
I write pretty much anything; I like a challenge. Of course, it doesn't always work out but I learn my lesson and try again. Mainly I stick to fantasy, horror and science-fiction - anything leaning toward the weird. This is also my main reading, but I do like to read a lot of crime and thrillers too - which I don't tend to write so much.
Some favourite authors:
Michael Connolly
Raymond Feist
Scott Lynch
Karen Miller
Lawrence Block
Robin Hobb
William Nicholson
Garth Nix
etc etc etc
If you have any comments about anything I've written, positive or negative - I'd like to hear them. My skin is thicker than the wall of a crazy, hoarding, paranoiac Survivalist's bunker.
(It's true about the slugs - I even wrote a poem about them once...)
(apologies to anyone else who is in a bookclub!)"
I do wish I had a setup like they have in Lost, though... :p"
The desk's new! A reproduction model, but still pricey. My other one didn't have enough draws, and was forever getting cluttered. I love antique-looking things. Ikea just doesn't do it for me!!
When you talk of have borrowed your parents medical dictionary, I envisage you as a child sat in a big dusty house, with high ceilings surrounded by book-cases! :)"
:( (pitiful sobs etc)"
You've been busy these last 8 days!"
I do not have a flat cap, or keep pigeons, or bet on the dogs or have false teeth.
Hah!"
No, I don't get out much."
