Nothing too special here, just another teen who joined the sight a while back, all gung-ho and stuff about writing. Then reality hits that for every would-be teenage writer out there, there's about eight or nine that never see it through. They get close though, some becoming teachers and others working in journalism.

As for me, I'm, hoping to become a teacher. That way my career should (theoretically) allow me time to devote to writing.

Why should you bother listening to me, you may ask? Well for starters you happened upon my profile page, which means you've had some sort of interest in something I wrote here. Second, I'm something of a realist and, like every human being, I make mistakes. I've let people down, online and offline, and I haven't wrote a single non-academic creative peice of that I truly enjoyed writing for a while. Procrastination hits hard, not as hard as life mind you but hard nonetheless.

My attempt at a philosophical analogy aside, I sincerely believe writing can be a terribly hard thing to do. Once I considered myself top notch, an aspiring Stephan King. Now I barely consider myself worthy enough to polish Stephenie Meyer's collection of Twilight drafts (if she had any?).

Am I a pessimist? God no, the amount of humor I watch, live and try my best to give would make me a horrible one. I do consider myself a realist however, as in I am REALLY sorry to anyone who I've let down with my procrastination and REALLY sorry I haven't messaged or contacted friends I've made online.

So, starting on this fine December 27, 2011 morning I plan on correcting as much of the mistakes I've made, on pushing myself to succeed and to actually finish a bloody piece of writing. On this dark 1:11 AM morning I challenge you, the foolish (hehe) reader who has taken it upon themselves to read this, to follow a similar example should you notice yourself following this dark, dark pattern.

A great man once said, in front of thousands of people, "I have a dream" and he proved it. Doing this online without any sort of physical or visual intimidation should be a snap!

Right?
