"[The art of living] consists in being completely sensitive to each moment, in regarding it as utterly new and unique, in having the mind open and wholly receptive.” - Alan Watts Mid-life brings with it a yearning for something more out of life. While those outside of this life stage, whether in derision, humour, or even fear, view it as a crisis, yet those within its overpowering grasp see it as opportunity. This is my opportunity to respond to a yearning long repressed, to exercise that creative energy within, to submit my contribution to the noble world of literature. I do so prepared to be lauded or laughed at. This is my age of discovery, my Renaissance!
