"The best moments in reading are when you come across something — a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things — that you'd thought special, particular to you. And here it is, set down by someone else, a person you've never met, maybe even someone long dead. And it's as if a hand has come out and taken yours." - Hector, History Boys Hello all!My name is Emily, I'm 17, I am definitely not at home in this tiny MN town, and I am soon to be the author of the next great american novel. :) I'm posting on this site my brainchild of two and a half years, Sons of Thunder. It is an epic novel (to put it a bit pompously) revolving around the lives of four unlikely friends throughout World War Two and the Holocaust. Part One is nearly finished and, though I am brand new to the site and will probably need some time to get my legs under me, I will hopefully have the full draft up quickly If you review me, I'll try my best to reivew back. Keep in mind, I review bluntly and would rather not write anything than leave a review that is only negative. I especially love finding good novels, I know how hard it is to get people to read them, but I'll read anything (though I warn you I'm a little daft at poetry). I LOVE meeting cool new people, so send me a message! <3PS: In the words of Hemingway, "The first draft of anything is ^#@@," so keep in mind I post raw so people can read what I have to say without waiting for my EXTENSIVE editing process. That is all!
