Tasha_Noble (Tricia)

OK, what can I say about Tricia aka Tasha?

Tasha Noble is my writing name, because I don't feel at all like Tricia when I'm being Tasha... or maybe Tasha is the real Tricia, who knows?

Anyway, it's quite simple - Tasha Noble is just a play on my first name, which is Patricia on my birth certificate, although I have always been Tricia except to teachers, (and my mum when she's talking about me to other people.)  Patricia means 'of noble birth'.  Tasha is short for Natasha - the Russian form of Natalie which means ''born''.   No mystery there.

Until I came here I had not written any fiction at all for many many years - I'm not saying how many because it'll give away how ancient I am - but the last time was in secondary school.  Through my teens I wrote lots and lots of poetry - well, who didn't - and kept a diary on and off from the age of 16 until my early 30s, and that's it as far as writing is concerned.

Facebook friends from here who've read my profile will know that I'm a nurse who always wanted to be a writer.  I'm trying to write a children's novel now, but I'm spending too much time on this addictive site to have progressed too far with it.

What else?  I soak up knowledge (the more trivial the better) like a sponge, and always have.  I have a photographic memory for words so I very rarely spell things incorrectly and if I do I'm mortified because I'm really pedantic, and a bit of a perfectionist, but only with myself.  I love words, language, and music, and have a nice singing voice, or so I've been told anyway.  On the other hand, I'm messy, disorganised and lazy.

I'm sad and happy and spiritual, and I'm eternally optimistic, which, contrary to popular belief, is far more difficult to sustain than pessimism.  (see my favourite quote below)  I'm easily hurt, but I recognise that I often set myself up for it.  Sometimes you have to take risks...

I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, long after other people have given up, and I'm happy with that.

I love my family and friends and I mostly feel loved by them, but not always - I can always do with a bit of reassurance, but so can we all.

I hate prejudice of all kinds and would like to see world tolerance before world peace can happen.  That's it.

Make friends with me on Facebook and I'll probably send my fairy, Aisling (who is also my muse, apparently) to visit you and cast a spell.  If you're up for that, click on the link below.

"Deep, solemn optimism, it seems to me, should spring from this firm belief in the presence of God in the individual; not a remote, unapproachable governor of the universe, but a God who is very near every one of us, who is present not only in earth, sea and sky, but also in every pure and noble impulse of our hearts.'' Helen Keller "
