" Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing." ~Benjamin Franklin "But you see," said Roark quietly, "I have, let’s say, sixty years to live. Most of that time will be spent working. I’ve chosen the work I want to do. If I find no joy in it, then I’m only condemning myself to sixty years of torture. And I can find the joy only if I do my work in the best way possible to me. But the best is a matter of standards—and I set my own standards. I inherit nothing. I stand at the end of no tradition. I may, perhaps, stand at the beginning of one."~The Fountainhead, Ayn Rand I will never write for a living; but I hope to someday write as a part of living. All my life I've had these dreams reposing in my mind, uplifting and leveling and entertaining me for hours and hours on end, through days and nights both good and bad. In my head there live grand, sprawling landscapes and a cast of living, breathing characters. My playgrounds, my close friends, my adventures. I would love nothing more than to share these worlds with others, but when your dreams are so much bigger than reality, bringing them to life can be a difficult task. I could have been an English major, but I decided to go down a different path with my education. Nevertheless I am an avid reader and writer, and am proud to say I know my way around the English language. I have experience in creative (and technical) writing, and while I don't post a lot of pieces, I would be happy collaborating or proof reading other people's works.
