"Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me...Anything can happen child, Anything can be. -Shel Silverstein (A very awesome gentleman indeed)." People I know say that I'm very mature for my age, but then I guess "people" have never really seen (or read) The Princess Bride (written by the oh-so-divine William Goldman), which is why "people" don't exactly know that maturity is just a concept, or a state of mind. How you view it, depends entirely on you. That being said, I would like to believe that I'm ridiculously immature to the bone. I celebrate all things pink, blue, loud, unabashed, nonsensical, outrageous, and most importantly- true. If Musicals were a religion, then I'd be a fanatic- and my Bible would be Magical Realism (either that or a Stephen Sondheim songbook). If I'm not writing or reading, then I'm thinking about writing or reading, which is not particularly appreciated where I come from. I'm a square peg, in a strictly round hole. I'm Mad About Rabbits- because while other girls wait for their Knights-in-Shining-Armour, I wait (though my patience is wearing thin) for the White-Rabbit-in-an-over-sized-coat-and-pocket-watch, who is going to lead me to my Wonderland, my magical heaven on earth. Someday. Some Winter. Some time of the day. Until then, I'm just going to indulge in some rambling here. Care to join me?
