Trying to go as rating-less as I possibly can.
Coolest job ever: Poet Laureate
Merlot: Incentive to drag firewood.
I've recently acquired a taste for raspberries and Cary Grant Movies. I like to put the raspberries on my pinky finger and nibble a little bit at a time.
The phrase "gleeful mayhem" is a wonderful one, and it makes me giggle a little whenever i hear it.
Trying to get published.... If you have any suggestions of magazines/journals, I would love to hear them :)
Currently double-majoring in Forestry and Entomology.
My favorite words are "pontificate," "catawampus," "clusterf*ck," and "magnificent." Obviously I can use only three of them in everyday conversation.
I am the Snackmaster.
I don't consider myself a poet. I consider myself a writer of descriptive prose, but I write a good bit of poetry. It's because I'm moody and angsty, grrrr ;)
I'm an artist. -ish. I also have a strange fascination with bacteria. And park rangers. I like their hats.
I recently discovered the penguin emoticon on Facebook. It made my life.
I am a logophile, a bibliophile, and a slight aphephobe. I also have OCD, ADD, motor tics, panic attacks, and performance anxiety. While I sound like a bubbling pot of crazy, I am, oddly enough, fairly easy to get along with. I don't rock the boat. Well, not usually.
Also, I have four people living in my head. Well, only three really. One just has Multiple Personality Disorder.
Compliments make me nervous. So do heights and electrical outlets. Oh, and facial hair.
I love John Donne, Oscar Wilde, Alexander Dumas, John Irving, Robert Frost, The Color Purple, Emily Dickinson, F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Percy Shelley, Lewis Carroll, Lolita, Joseph Heller, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and Peter Pan. I hardly ever meet a book I don't like and I have only once in my life put down a book and refused to finish it. That would be Atonement. I don't recommend it.
I avoid confrontation like the plague.
I feel that "naughty" is a word that should be used more often in daily conversation.
I name my favorite possessions, narrate my own life in my head, laugh when I go running, sing in public, describe things out loud to myself, talk to my car, design and sew dresses, go to the Symphony once a month, speak in Spanish at random, lie in fields for hours staring at the sky, draw, walk around outside aimlessly late at night (insomnia), listen to music, make yummy noises when I eat, go on long kayaking adventures with my friends, bike for miles and miles, take pictures of clouds, and probably should be reading my Chemistry chapter right now...
My soul is defined by color and music is very important to me.
Reading: Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
Listening to: Blitzen Trapper, Fruit Bats, Old Crow Medicine Show
This: http://angusmcleod.deviantart.com/art/World-War-One-Simple-Version-128505446 makes me happy. So does this: http://angusmcleod.deviantart.com/art/World-War-Two-Simple-Version-73625561?moodonly=1#comments
What does a moustache feel like, anyway?
"Being creative makes you a weird little beast, because everything seems so bloody interesting for some strange reason."
