"It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else." Erma Bombeck What do you do in the middle of endless sleepless nights, with husband and children slumbering peacefully? I wrote. I'd needed an outlet for my creative side, and found that writing fed that very well. As a younger person, I played piano and flute. But I haven't owned a piano in over 20 years, and gave up the flute when I entered college. Recent years have been filled with raising children to young adulthood, marriage, divorce, marriage and divorce (again!), and work. For me, work is a daily radio program that I've enjoyed for over 20 years. It also feeds that creative monster. But I craved a way to really express myself. In high school, it was poetry. I wrote pages and pages of teenage angst, that have been lost forever. As my children grew, I wrote a few short pieces in the style of Erma Bombeck. And finally, during those sleepless nights, I wrote a novel. I have yet to try and get it published...but ,someday, I will. In the meantime, I'm excited to explore this site and see what you have to say!
