Welcome to my profile- sit back, relax and have a cup of tea (while you're at it, make me one too.  I prefer peppermint).

While you're here you may as well learn something about me.  My name is Kalee, I have no nicknames or pet names.  I am a young, impressionable, innocent art student *scoff*.  Words are my absolute passion, I'm pretty sure I have an unnatural obsession with them- to the point where I collect dictionaries.  Call me strange.

I'm new to this, so if I'm doing something wrong, please beat me with a virtual stick- it's the only way I learn.

I love classical literature.  I'm not a huge fan of more recent novels, sadly.  I try, but they haven't stood the test of time like the classics.  My favorite authors include: Vladimir Nabokov, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Robert Graves, and e. e. cummings. 

I aspire to write like Nabokov and Fitzgerald.  Their prose just has this poetic elegance about it that I love.

A bit about my personal life:

1.I've been in the same relationship for 3 years.  My boyfriend is amazing and his name is Michael.
2. I have Crohn's disease.  That means my immune system belongs in the Special Olympics because it can't work with the team (it attacks my small intestine).
3. My favorite food is beets.  I love them.  I crave them.  They're delicious.
4. I am on a gluten-free, lactose-free, sugar-free diet.  It's pretty difficult to follow, but I'm strict about it and it makes me feel a lot better.
5. I've lived in Chicago and in a small town in Ohio.  I have a fondness for both places.
6. I have a comma addiction.
