I'm now blogging about writing! Follow here:

I grew up with a fondness for Hemingway. As I kid, I wasn't as much interested in his writing as I was compelled by his life and thoughts. I still hold his maxims, such as "Live it up so you can write it down," in my mind, although I wish I'd taken his words on modern warfare more seriously before joining the Marine Corps in 2001.

I currently work as a barista/bookseller, write every day, attend college courses and take acting gigs when I can.

I write all sorts of things in many formats. Short fiction, novel-length, screenplays, graphic novel scripts. I consider the sweeping themes of my work to be sadness and defeat, apathy and courage. I enjoy exhaggerating the worst parts of reality in hopes of stirring thoughts and feelings that we normally avoid. My primary influences are Hemingway, Poe, Gaiman and Crichton.

With all sincerity, I thank you for taking an interest in my work. I hope that you find your own meanings in my words. My stories are as much about you and me as they are about the characters.
