"my advice is stand firm for what you believe in, until and unless logic and experience prove you wrong. Remember, when the emperor looks naked, the emperor is naked. The truth and the lie are not "sort of" the same thing. And there's no aspect, no facet, no moment in life that can't be improved with pizza. Thank you. - Daria"

Hey, nice to see you

If we haven't met before, I'm Hyacinth (at least for you lot) and its really great of you to take a look at my profile here, though its not very tidy, I hope you'll excuse the mess.

Well, if we were going to talk about me I suppose we might start with the fact that I like to bake, and I'm seem to do alright at it. Mum had an idea when I was a baby that her daughter ought to grow up to be fully independent and here I am, navigating my way through sixth-form, living off of a variety of self-made pasta dishes and (occasionally) taking my books back to the library. I also like making chocolate.

Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to be mermaid fairy princess, but ultimately a story teller on top of that. In primary school I read poetry at assemblies and in middle school the English Department (who I am fondly devoted to and love with all my pockets) were among my best friends. I also won that performance poetry competition that one time which I guess is something right?

Apparently I'm very quiet. I like drinking tea and in all honesty, I'm a bit confused about this whole life thing. Talking to yourself and staring off into space are apparently frowned upon in the world of academia.

If you would like me to read a piece of yours, please go ahead and ask
