"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." Greetings, I'm an on again, off again type of writer. I started messing around with the craft sometime in 2007. Wrote a few short stories, a bunch of tiny stories, and promptly lost touch with it. But ever since, I've long thought about picking it back up; just never have. Now things are different. I got laid off earlier this year and the stress, anxiety, and overall discouragement associated with the job hunt process seems to have stirred the creativity within me once again. Suddenly, I have two short story pieces I'm working on and a ridiculous outline for a third. My genre? Horror: Psychological, gore, exotic, and etc. Honestly, I enjoy writing about anything as long as it's weird, has a unique twist, and can't really be compared to anything else (duh!!!). Why am I here? I'm super-duper curious about collaborative writing. Back in 2007, I spent some time on a website called writing.com (not sure if that was the name or not). I posted some of the tiny stories I mentioned earlier, but more interestingly, I participated with other writers by adding on to stories they'd started. Basically someone would start a story and leave it open to other writers. I'm not sure if they do that on this site or not. I'm also curious about sharing/creating/evolving story ideas with other folks (before any writing actually occurs). If this is something that anybody finds interesting, please let me know and let's see what kind of story we can conjure up!
