"Our generation, we fight every day to get through life. It's not always a bad fight, sometimes it's a great, exciting fight. But you can't let the world shake you, you have to know that the fighting is worth it and it's worth knowing you can come through a stronger person."
Well hello :) I am me. I like to write, and I wish I could say that I'm good at it. Friends have said that I am, but due to my frequent terrible bouts of writer's block (yes, it is an illness) I often lose faith in my writing.
I've written many short stories and started many, but even with the best of intentions to begin with I never seem to finish them. The longest thing I've ever written is a novel I was working on for about a year when I was 14 to when I was 15. You can find it on here under the title "Breaking Storm", unfinished like everything else.
I joined this site a while ago but I have been struggling with personal issues for some time, and often it has had a detrimental effect on my creativity, so I haven't written anything purely for the sake of writing for a long time. As summer is coming up and I'll have left the pressure of A Levels temporarily behind, I hope to spend more time on here and rediscover the joy of writing, and of course reading others' work.
My favourite bands are Paramore ( the quote at the top is from a certain red-headed singer), Muse and My Chemical Romance. Their music is a large contribution to my life and writing. I also love Lady Gaga, Panic! At The Disco, You Me At Six. I think it's important to mention music because it means a lot to me and is a huge inspiration.
Well done you if you actually read all that! You can has cookies :)
For some reason I never say goodbye in English, so sayonara, arrivederci, au revoir, auf wiedersehen, dos vidanya to you ;)
If you want to know any more about me, here's a summary:
Harry Potter was my childhood, as was LOTR. I have an obsession with zombies/dystopian fiction.
Concerts are where I feel most alive. My iPod is my best friend.
I am an atheist. I believe in equality for all, regardless of gender, race, or sexual orientation.
My favourite colour is purple.
I have been a vegetarian since the summer of 2006.
I have a tendency to overuse emoticons. :)
I study AS Level Psychology, Art, English Literature and English Language. I did History and German at GCSE but I didn’t continue because I thought it would be too hard, now I wish I had.
I love: music, movies, writing, reading, drawing, photography, coffee and chocolate, the smell of paper and fruit (not together).
I have a Tumblr and a Twitter, if you wish to follow me.
