"Honestly, I'm kind of a scaredy-cat when it comes to horror movies, so I'm not confident I can do it. At the same time, there's a certain type of horror that only people who are scared of can create, so maybe it's something I can do." - Hideo Kojima

I'm Elliott B. Edwards, a twenty something writer balancing out work, procrastination and Japanese lessons. Sometimes I even write. My influences are Takashi Miike, David Lynch, Hideo Kojima, nightmares, Japanese culture and the early Silent Hill series. I'm currently writing short stories which will be posted in installments. I have several ideas in my notepad; hopefully they'll all see the light of day. My biggest dream would be to have an in-depth TV Tropes page based on one of my stories.

My conversion to writing stories began with a nightmare. It involved a pink haired angel bound in stitches, myself as a helpless child and a rainy Japanese shack. Since then, I've dived into Japanese Horror novels and films to help craft my own. I blame Siren: Blood Curse for that nightmare, by the way.

My finished works include...

The Raining Room (J-Horror, Psychological Horror)

Throughout Osaka, people are suddenly dying with no explanation. The only clue is
of a mysterious chatroom thought to be an urban legend.

My collections include...

Ten tales of the darker side of Japan (ongoing)

  • Eyes Love You
  • Blue Sky Complex
  • Paper Skin

With more to be announced...
