"I am pessimistic about the human race because it is too ingenious for its own good. Our approach to nature is to beat it into submission. We would stand a better chance of survival if we accommodated ourselves to this planet and viewed it appreciatively instead of skeptically and dictatorially." -E.B. White "I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul." -William Ernest Henley Okay darlings, lets do this! Once upon a time my name was Eigee and I wrote things. The end. I kid, I kid. My name is Eigee, and I do write things but that's not all! Okay, so in a nutshell, I'm twenty years old, I'm in my sophomore year in college, and I'm deeply concerned about the environment -hence my major in Environmental Studies. I've been writing for a very long time, unfortunately, time isn't a contributing factor in how good I write. So I still suck. I suck with a passion. But I'm making progress, slowly, but I am. The first time I wrote anything was in first grade in elementary school, I wrote a children's book about environmental conscience. And if it weren't for my serious case of procrastination and life in general, the revised version would be sitting in book shop shelves right now. But unfortunately like everything else, its progress is slow. I grew up as a fan-fiction writer for a couple of fandoms and that's what's made me into the author I am now, methinks. If it hadn't been for fan-fiction, maybe I wouldn't have thought of writing my own novel. I am currently working on a novel called "The Gifted". It's about the future and the environment, and basically how our current problems will come to haunt us in a couple more centuries. It's a post-apocalyptic YA. I know it's kind of getting old by now, but you know, I think stories of future doom will remain ever relevant to our youth. Why? Because they're speculations about our future, we will always care about the way things turn out for us. So yep, that's me. I found out about this page through Tumblr and I really don't know what this is about, but I'm excited! I'm kind of obsessed with all things writing.
