Hi I’m Alexis Nicole Hardin, I’m a sophomore in High School I’m 15-years old.  I have a syndrome called Asperger’s if you don’t what that is here’s what it pretty much means.

  • Not pick up on social cues and may lack inborn social skills, such as being able to read others' body language, start or maintain a conversation, and take turns talking.
  • Dislike any changes in routines.
  • Appear to lack empathy.
  • Be unable to recognize subtle differences in speech tone, pitch, and accent that alter the meaning of others? speech. So your child may not understand a joke or may take a sarcastic comment literally. And his or her speech may be flat and hard to understand because it lacks tone, pitch, and accent.
  • Have a formal style of speaking that is advanced for his or her age. For example, the child may use the word "beckon" instead of "call" or the word "return" instead of "come back."
  • Avoid eye contact or stare at others.
  • Have unusual facial expressions or postures.
  • Be preoccupied with only one or few interests, which he or she may be very knowledgeable about. Many children with Asperger's syndrome are overly interested in parts of a whole or in unusual activities, such as designing houses, drawing highly detailed scenes, or studying astronomy. They may show an unusual interest in certain topics such as snakes, names of stars, or dinosaurs.
  • Talk a lot, usually about a favorite subject. One-sided conversations are common. Internal thoughts are often verbalized.
  • Have delayed motor development. Your child may be late in learning to use a fork or spoon, ride a bike, or catch a ball. He or she may have an awkward walk. Handwriting is often poor.
  • Have heightened sensitivity and become overstimulated by loud noises, lights, or strong tastes or textures. For more information about these symptoms, see sensory processing disorder.

This is the link where I got that information from:

I got diagnosis with Asperger’s around I think a year ago.  Ever since then I thought I wasn’t normal and I thought I would be made fun for “being different” so when I was in 6th grade I would be made fun for doing weird things (I don’t remember what I was doing) but I wouldn’t understand why they would think what I was doing was weird I thought it was completely normal for me, I would go home and ask my mom pretty much upset and ask her “Is their something wrong with me?” and she just wouldn’t answer me at all. When I was going through my Middle School year I had got suspended so many times that I wasn’t allowed back and I was bullied for my looks and I believed that what they were saying about me were true because they would tell me everyday. When I got to High school it was the same I would get suspended for stupid %@&$ and it would get me nowhere in high school just a bad reputation. This year I have changed so much yes I’m still being bullied and yes they still say I’m ugly but I have surrounded by a GOOD group of friends who when I look like I’m upset they come up to me and hug me and talk me into telling them what’s wrong last school semester I didn’t get that with the group of friends I had. I had low self esteem in my self through out middle school and even now. When I transfer to another school in Alamance County I plan on joining JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) and hopefully it will bring up my self esteem.  To this day I don’t think I’m pretty because of my low self esteem because of being bullied through out middle school and my freshman year of high school and all my friends and some of my guy friends they are always like YOUR NOT UGLY QUIT IT! It helps a little bit, but I still think I’m ugly. I have played soccer from 2008-13 and a little bit of cheerleading and softball when I hang out with my friends (guys) I play football and I play basketball.  When I’m home alone I listen to music like Country (mostly) Rap, Pop, Metal (depends on who it is) I would consider myself to be a country girl. Ha-ha :)  I am currently single. I live in Gibsonville, NC.  I would consider myself to be Bi-curious when it comes to my sexuality. (:  I am a funny girl and I am goofy when it comes to hanging out with friends outside of school and I am REALLY caring towards others and things (like pets)… I don’t think that I should let what other say/think about me affect what I think about myself but I do... :( I have a MySpace account and a Facebook and a MeetMe account and a Kik (don’t use it much) (I don’t have a cell I have to borrow my friends phones) and a Twitter account (don’t get on that much anymore)

My Facebook link is:

Hope that’s right…. I don’t know my meetme link or my myspace link I’ll post that when I find it out (I’m in school right now)

I am just look for a friendship and maybe even more depends on who I’m talking too personally (maybe I shouldn’t of put that last part) :/

Well that’s all that I can think of for right now I’ll put up more when I think about it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Alexis Nicole Hardin (:
