I'm not what I'd consider a professional writer, I'm really just looking for tips, I eventually want to write songs and poetry, but I feel a few things such as flow and beat are a bit off in the various things I write.

Please comment with constructive criticism.

P.S. A lot of my philosophical views on life and humanity come from a concept of light/darkness duality, which probably exposes itself readily in a lot of things I write, so don't worry about pointing out the excessive thematics of it all. Don't worry, they're not narrow views, both intertwine and merge to form shades of gray in everyday life.
