"I write to give myself strength. I write to be the characters I am not. I write to explore all things I'm afraid of." ~ Joss Whedon Writing and reading do not completely consume my life, even though I don't think that would be too bad. I also like to listen to music, participate in extracurricular activities, and learn new things. Some of my friends call me crazy because of how hard I work, but to me, that's the only way to succeed in life. Being lazy will get you nowhere, especially when you're writing. Tenacity is also a helpful tool when involving yourself in being an author, for getting over writer's blocks with tenacity I find is much easier than with no persistence at all. Opportunity is usually disguised as hard work, which is why you can't try to avoid it.
