~AKES VETÏR ATALAE DRE SEQUEK~
I'm Shannon, a part time introvert, full time enthusiast of reverie and abnormality, and a 6ft clutz-bug. Thanks for visiting!
I drift between states of normalcy to states where I see the world from a 361 degree angle, fantasy and reality melding into one. My characters were once my best friends, my escape from a world either too constricting or spiralling out of control. I've found freedom through them, so now I write for them, not in debt but in gratitude.
Nothing could ever stop me from writing, it has become as much a part of my daily life as it has become a part of me.
COMMENTS AND CONSTRUCTIVE CRITIQUE ANY DAY OVER RATINGS. Tell me if you like my work, or tell me how to improve, I appreciate both equally. ASK ME TO READ YOUR WORK (I will always oblige), SUGGEST COLLABS (always looking for genres and stories to expand in), or just POP IN FOR A CHAT.
Also, I'm having an increasing desire to get to know EVERYBODY around here, so make yourself known to me and I will probably become a fan even if you're just a cool person (to my standard, of course. Good luck with that, hahaha!)

25/1/2013 - Level '6'- Arr' matey, gimme yer dabloons!
I am in my final year of secondary school *gross sobbing*. I'm taking my exams this summer in hopes to study English Literature at degree level. <3 University of York! So, as much as I'll try to be around, my work takes priority if I'm going to get into university.

SCHOOL:
English - naturally, my favourite subject. I love to read stories and to analyse them to try and see just a glimpse into the minds and hearts behind them. One day, I hope that I can bear my soul to the world in the same, illustrious way. Nobody bears their soul more than in stories, it is the most organic therapy and, as I believe, by far, the most sacrosanct.
Philosophy - I love how this subject makes me think. It makes me question everybody and myself, and takes me through a cacophony of mindsets to finally arrive at the self that believes and fights and loves against all adversary. Only through knowing her can I be truly honest with you.
Classics - the world is tired, old and beautiful, that is what I've learnt most. She crumbles and she endures, protecting the remnants of a lost society that many centuries ago, decided their way would not be forgotten. Through stone and earth they carved out what they wanted us in the modern world to know above all else, "I was here", and isn't that what all writers want to be? Immortal?

STORIES
~Fiction reveals truths that reality obscures~ - Ralph Waldo Emerson
The Element Adventures - I've been working on this series since I was thirteen years old. When I wasn't writing, I was designing maps, drawing characters Japanese-style, inventing my own language or planning years in advance who I was going to kill off. If I publish anything, it will be this, and if I have one passion in my life, it is this. UNRELENTINGLY-CAN'T-STOP-MYSELF-ACTIVE
I'VE STARTED TO REPLACE THE OLD VERSION WITH A NEW ONE, SO IF SOME OF THE CHAPTERS SKIP, IT'S BECAUSE OF THIS. I LIKE THIS VERSION MUCH BETTER, IT'S FOR THE BEST.
Dear Diary...Tell Me Who I Am - just a diary of memories from my past and my present thoughts on life EMOTION-ACTIVE
Coming Out of the Broom Cupboard - basically another journal of sorts, only this is about how I chose my religion, something which is very important to me. EMOTION-ACTIVE
Panacea - just a story I'm doing for fun. Dana is the "panacea", her blood carries the cure to all diseases. She's never had a sick day, and she knows she'll live for a very long time, but she is captive, her blood sold to those that can afford immunity. And they keep wanting more... MAKIN'-AN-EFFORT ACTIVE
Legend of the Light-Bearer - there is a girl, and there is a ring. The two are bound for eternity by the paths of fate and the past. She is Jessica Hallen, a rebellious girl misplaced in the world, and it is the Ring of Solomon. It controls demons - who want to own it. It can kill angels - who want it destroyed. And it can be worn by only one... (My more serious story that I'm really trying to add to more often) NOT-SO ACTIVE
Artists of Inspiration - an old collab that I've rewritten as a solo. Before Muses came to Earth to inspire the human race, they were children training in Oneirus to become the best at their trade, gifted with a single Idea from the magical tree Ideón, and sent on their mission to deliver it, all whilst battling Hellions trying to pollute the world... SO-DAMN ACTIVE
